We made the switch to Zoom for Government as soon as it became available — it was important for us to have the security that comes with it. There are a lot of good services out there but they don't meet the security standards for the Department of Defense.
"Zoom offers a variety of features that meet the needs of the education industry. The product is magic, but it’s the people behind the partnership and beyond the tool that we want to work with. Vendors who offer ongoing support and who we can build a relationship with are key for us."
Even though I’ve been on a 4-megabit connection for the last two years, I don’t feel like I’ve missed a step. That would not have been possible without Zoom. Even with other video conferencing technologies, like Teams or Webex, the experience is just not the same. Zoom works in environments where other solutions don’t.
"When I’m working with our leadership team, we use Zoom Whiteboard so that we can work asynchronously — we can pop it up in the room during a meeting, or on our screens at home when one of us is remote. It doesn't matter. We can still be looking at the same thing, collaborating, and keeping that work going, which has been huge. We also use SnagIt, one of our screen recording solutions, to capture part of the whiteboard, record what we’re thinking, and share a link to that recording with other team members who can comment or share it with others."
"The fact that Zoom Whiteboard can be expanded infinitely is great for us. Looking back, we only had so much space to work with, and I felt like there were points in collaboration where we ran out of room. With Zoom Whiteboard, you can create more space or just scroll to another area and start ideating."
“Even though higher learning institutes already had some success with MOOCs (massive open online courses), K12 education (primary to secondary education) was still largely restricted to the brick-and-mortar style of teaching."
"Teachers and staff are loving the new phone system. From the day of implementation ‘til now, it’s been seamless."
"We consider Zoom to be infrastructure for us, and anything we [adopt] needs to be simple and easy to use. It needs to have digital privacy, safety, and security as tent poles."
"When we put people on Zoom together, we found connections and friendships formed that we couldn’t have imagined."
"It allowed us to step back from looking at the court as a building to begin viewing the court as also a service."
"I can't imagine Biohaven moving forward without the underpinning of the strength of Zoom as a platform because it has become part of a daily way that we do business and honestly it just helps us get work done."
"When we started working with Zoom, the ISV Partner Program had just launched. Zoom made it advantageous for us to work together. We created a healthcare platform that could be best in class with Zoom’s best-in-class technology. The ISV program was a great way for us to grow our partnership and grow as a company."
"Video SDK is based on Zoom’s core technology, with custom codecs and the client written in WebAssembly. We were able to build a richer user experience with more member videos on the screen at the same time compared to what we had with WebRTC. Zoom’s tech is demonstrably superior."
“We found that all the WebRTC services limited us to having four member videos on the screen at once, and they were CPU intensive. So what we wanted just wasn’t possible with our former provider.”
"With Zoom, everything can be done in one platform, you don't have to sign in and out of a bunch of different modules or apps. Everything is available and can be managed there. Having communication tools offered in such a scalable and secure way make a worthwhile investment."
