We made the switch to Zoom for Government as soon as it became available — it was important for us to have the security that comes with it. There are a lot of good services out there but they don't meet the security standards for the Department of Defense.
"Zoom offers a variety of features that meet the needs of the education industry. The product is magic, but it’s the people behind the partnership and beyond the tool that we want to work with. Vendors who offer ongoing support and who we can build a relationship with are key for us."
Even though I’ve been on a 4-megabit connection for the last two years, I don’t feel like I’ve missed a step. That would not have been possible without Zoom. Even with other video conferencing technologies, like Teams or Webex, the experience is just not the same. Zoom works in environments where other solutions don’t.
“Zoom has given us what we need to provide business continuity and enable student resilience. We can deliver a personalized educational experience for each student, no matter their situation.”
“Zoom technology gives families and students the security that they will have a good academic experience — they can have classes with teachers, connect with other students, and have a direct relationship with the school community.”
“[Zoom Phone] gives employees a solution to the issue of using a personal cellphone to conduct government business. It’s hugely important for schools and public entities. With Zoom Phone, your work number is your work number. It’s your office number, your SMS text number, and your mobile number.”
“At Happy State Bank, our culture relies on close connections and those face-to-face conversations. With Zoom Meetings, we can get that face-to-face contact, and so it has really helped us in supporting us and our culture. Instead of getting on a phone call, I can go talk to someone directly and see their body language.”
“At the beginning we hosted some high-visibility events over Zoom, like our board meetings and our stockholders meeting, and we were able to provide some close support to our employees to make sure things went off without a hitch. We developed some guides around everyday usage for our employees, and I think as a whole everyone learned to use Zoom pretty quickly. Within a few weeks we were able to move to Zoom completely.”
“When these videos were spotlighted during the actual Zoom event, every graduate was seen and featured. Many attendees remarked how much better they were able to get to know the graduates than they would have otherwise during the traditional stage walk.”
“There’s so much to learn about Zoom. We decided to use webinars for our parent events at the beginning and they were so seamless that it delivered a sense of calmness, which was important when it came to hosting larger events.”
“We leverage so many features of Zoom that it has quickly become ingrained in our daily operations.”
"One of the ideas we’ve been interested in is using Zoom and Neat for a professional development program. With these technologies, we wouldn’t need instructors and staff to travel to multiple regions to reach our schools. We would have a Neat Bar set up in one room in each of our schools, such as the library, and use that space for our professional development program, allowing multiple regions to develop and collaborate without needing instructors or staff to travel to different states.”
"With travel restrictions limiting mobility for attendees, along with concerns about the viability of large gatherings, we are adapting our meetings and events solutions in order to continue to support event planners while ensuring the health and safety of their attendees. We developed our hybrid meeting services in collaboration with leading technology brands such as Zoom to deliver engaging and highly interactive meetings."
“The cancellation of EUNIS2020 in Helsinki, due to Covid-19, was a great disappointment. When we decided to run our first online Congress with Zoom instead, we felt we had to do it in a way that reflects the spirit of our community. It seems ‘Virtual Helsinki’ did just that!”
"Prior to Zoom, OneSchool had multiple video conferencing tools in place, including Cisco Bridges, Cisco/Polycom video endpoints, GoToMeeting, and WebEx. The infrastructure to support this was end-of-life and expensive, and it required high levels of support. Zoom demonstrated that it was more user-friendly, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose and could support our learning and teaching activities."
