"Having used Websense for a good number of years this year I decided to look around this year for a cheaper alternative to see what was available. WebTitan was one of a few I looked at and having trialed it successfully have now put it into production. The setup options are flexible (proxy or not, transparent or login pages, integrated LDAP etc) and the interface is very clean and simple to get around. Its available as both an ISO and virtual appliance so deployment options are also good. The reporting is great, more options than most will need IMO. I have the VMware appliance running as a thin VMDK and performance is very good, no noticeable hit to browsing and its only cost me 5GB of disk thus far. All in all I would certainly recommend."

"I was recommended to WebTitan from my outside IT consultant. We had spend a month on working on content filtering methods with some new SonicWall devices and could not achieve the desired results. We installed this as a demo, when thru a training webinar, and was impressed by granular ability to filter out websites. By default in our environment, the whole internet is blocked, except for management approved websites. We have found this is the most effective may to keep employees productive. With our previous product, I couldn't block a piece of a website and let another part through; but with WebTitan this is possible. Another great feature is the reporting. WebTitan also have bandwidth monitoring capabilities as well, this gave me great insight into usage habits that I was not aware of on my network. There pricing is competitive to other products on the market. I have it installed in a vm on my network and it runs very efficiently. The GUI is very easy to use as well. I am happy with our purchase and deployment for this product."

"After much searching we settled on WebTitans' virtual appliance as it was the easiest to use and their support and contact was excellent. They are in the throws of upgrading their categorisation system which will make the vApp even better than it is now. The web GUI is very slick and easy to use. The whole offering works exactly as you would expect. Their category database can be update automatically each day or you can connect to their 'cloud' and have the updates in 'real time'. As this is a vApp it sits very neatly into our VMWare environment and allows us to include it in our DR. Again as it is a vApp it is reflected in the price (no hardware to purchase). Overall all an excellent product and the customer services have been great too."
