Of course there are exceptions and the ‘Introduction to Social Media’ seminar run by Kaz Laljee, of Soc-Med, was nothing short of outstandingly useful in terms of the insights and the pragmatic use of the concepts immediately. I’m one of those professionals that has seen ‘social media’ rise all around me but stayed away from it as long as possible! Apart from being on LinkedIn I really didn’t have the interest (or understand the value!) of being on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram! Kaz’s session changed all of that as he presented the growth and importance being placed on social media in a business context. This was not about people sending pictures of what dessert they were about to eat to their friends but utilising the global reach of social media to get across my brand, my products, my services, my expertise and my story in an acceptable and expected approach! A great 3 hour immersive trip, delivered with expertise and patience, into the social media world and left me with a completely different perspective and a willingness to join in on the ‘world conversation’ that is taking place across many platforms!”
