“It’s important to have clear and continuous communication with our potential applicants. Using ADEA PASS allows us to streamline our process. Our deadline is August 1st and we aim to have completed our initial assessment of applicants by August 24th or 25th. And at that point we can send them emails regarding our decision. I do not believe this would be possible if we were doing it through another mechanism. I think it would be a much more tedious process that wouldn’t allow us to communicate quite as quickly and as effectively.”
“It’s a win for everyone. Our staff is empowered to think strategically and work efficiently. And our applicants can plan their time more effectively.”
“I strongly recommend PSYCAS. In fact, we recently invited other schools from all over the Bay Area to speak with us about joining the service. This service is not about competition. We really want them to enjoy the same benefits we do. The broader adoption of this kind of application technology elevates our entire academic sector.”
“We’ve had a few students walk in, basically off the street and say, ‘I’m a graphic design major, or an English major or a marketing major, and I’m interested in working for you!’ I always check with their professors to ensure they’re a good fit.”
“For very competitive programs, ones that receive over 500 applications, we’re seeing applicants who are continuously exceeding our expectations year-by-year.”
“Students get a good experience when they apply through CAS. But the fact that our staff is also able to spend more personalized time and attention on each student makes a huge difference, as well.”
“We’ve seen that we are getting new, excellent applicants every year from new schools, new areas, and new regions, and it has brought our program to the forefront. In a highly competitive market, we’ve been able to maintain our high standards and fill our classes.”
“We’re very committed to holistic review here. When we get together we know extraordinary details about these students their personal goals, mission trips or community service experiences. We have rubrics in place to score all of these different elements and weigh them fairly.”
"Our dean was very interested in analytics and familiar with the positive results other Pitt programs were having, and she suggested we take a look at the solution. I’m glad we did."
“We have saved the equivalent of a full-time person through our adoption of these CAS systems. That’s a 1.0 that we didn’t lose that we were instead able to integrate into more quintessential admissions counseling.”
“I would say to my colleagues at other universities, don’t be afraid to try it! If you’re similarly focused on increasing diversity and would benefit from more transparency into recruitment and enrollment trends, you stand to benefit greatly from PSYCAS.”
“PSYCAS changed admissions at University of La Verne for the better."
"I heard SlideRoom is the leading portfolio application system, and now that I've used the system for a couple of years, I can see why. Portfolios are paramount in our application review and the ability to easily access and view each media item quickly and clearly in the administrative portal will help us attract and identify high quality applicants. I like this tool a lot."
