"Hi5 has made an enormous difference to us in our performance review process. We use it to get 360 degree feedback on all of our team members. Our teams work on projects, so we don't always have close connection between them and their line managers or the management of the company. We need to get feedback from the people they work with on a daily basis, and we find Hi5 really excellent in helping us understand where we can help our people develop better, where their strengths & weaknesses are. It helps us have a very open and informed discussion on what they've been doing and where they need to get to. So, it also helps us with career planning in terms of understanding how we can develop their skills into the roles that are needed for future projects. I think it's created more of a feedback culture where people give each other positive feedback and are also open to helping other people develop by giving them constructive feedback in areas where they can improve. So, we've definitely seen that that has been a big advantage and a mechanism for people to say thank you. Hi5 is really useful, particularly since we are dispersed on projects and not all in the same location."
"My role as CEO entails a number of different functions; helping the teams gel together so that we can build a common vision of taking Lulalend as far as we possibly can. I like Hi5 because it's first and foremost a simple tool. So, being a CEO of a startup, where you have so many daily functions on the go, but understanding the importance of team culture and making sure that the team is optimistic and buying into the vision, you need a tool that's simple yet effective and really engaging - and that's what we've found in Hi5. It ticks all those boxes in terms of what we're looking for to be able to drive employee engagement and making sure that we're creating excitement amongst team members and improving morale. Since using Hi5 we've seen just a real, improved upbeat nature within the employee group; [staff] being recognised for the jobs that they're doing that would (maybe in the past) not go unnoticed, but never really be rewarded or recognised. So, it's a really nice functionality that they can see the reward for the work that they're putting in. At the same time there are a lot of people who have a lot of love to give, and it's a nice tool for them to be able to express that. So, it's been a super helpful engagement tool for the company. I think it's just human nature to enjoy recognition for a job well done, and then it's always nice on a monthly basis to be rewarded as the number 1 Hi5 giver or receiver - that adds the cherry on the cake."
