“We were in the security ingress area when the National Anthem played. Normally with manual screening, we would still have lines of fans trying to get into the park. But when I looked up after the National Anthem was finished, there were no lines. I knew then that we had made the right decision.”
“We had lines of people who showed up before we opened our gates. I overheard one person telling her friends, ‘We’re never going to get our seats. Even if they open up right now, we’re still not going to make it.’ The gates opened and the lines started to move. Ten minutes later, when I was in the lobby, the same woman and her friends passed through security. She came over to me and told me, ‘ I’m very impressed with how you handled this huge crowd.’ I had to smile to myself. As we had Evolv, I knew that we were going to make it work.”
“The lack of security created an environment subconsciously for patients and their families—whether it was in the exam room or waiting room upon their arrival.”
“We have over 18,000 guests on a given day during the summer season. Even with all six security lanes running at full capacity, which was around 250 people each, we could have a significant queue waiting to get into the building. This had a direct impact on guest experience.”
“Right now, we literally have zero queue space. There is no need for it. Guests purchase a ticket and walk right through the dual lanes of the Express system.”
“There was genuine excitement from staff and students reached out to show their gratitude for the decision."
"Our teachers and staff were very happy when we put Evolv in our schools. They know we’re now checking everyone who enters a school, and they feel our campuses are much safer. This enables our teachers to focus on teaching rather than worrying about potential threats coming onto the campuses.”
“That assessment pointed us to the need for a solution that would screen people upon ingress without impeding their entry."
"Since deploying Evolv, the number of metal objects that we’ve detected run into the tens of thousands. We were almost in shock at the number of weapons we found. It was the equivalent of having a Damocles sword hanging over our heads but most of us were unaware of how large the threat was.”
“Workplace violence has become a growing concern over the past decade. During and after the pandemic, we saw a heightening of people’s emotions. Isolation during the pandemic negatively impacted people’s behavior and conduct. Unfortunately, this translated into a rise in violence towards hospital staff.”
“The entire deployment process was outstanding. It was amazing to see the equipment arrive on site and then go through the training process with the Evolv and Convergint teams.”
“Evolv plays a huge role in helping us to feel more comfortable and confident at work, knowing there is a reduced chance we will be injured by someone brandishing a weapon. It is absolutely wonderful that we finally have security screening for weapons in our Emergency Departments.”
“When some of our patients or visitors to come our Emergency Departments, they may be having the worst day of their life. People’s emotions run high. People do stupid things. Evolv helps us prevent bad things from happening.”
“Having Evolv systems in place makes our patients feel safe, and our staff feels safe and able to deliver the care our patients need rather than worrying about their safety. We are very proud to be the first hospital Emergency Department in Canada to implement Evolv.”
“I feel very honored to be part of a hospital that is taking extra steps to protect is staff and patients. In the past, we didn’t know what we would encounter when coming to work. Evolv makes it much easier for us to do so. It helps lift that uncertainty. I absolutely feel safer knowing that every single person that I come in contact with has been screened.”
