"We migrated to Windows 7 on all our desktops and laptops last summer. Diskeeper is installed on all the desktops and laptops as well. We definitely value the ease and efficiency of Diskeeper and believe it makes a significant improvement in computer performance and reliability."
“Diskeeper has our fragmentation in check across the board and I couldn't be happier with it. Without effective, real time fragmentation management you simply cannot get results that meet your expectations. What I like best about Diskeeper is that it is much more efficient than the Windows built-in defrag, and that I can block out time in the Automatic defrag so that it doesn't get in the way during business hours; we have many servers on an Dell EqualLogic iSCSI SAN. Keeping fragmentation under control is especially important with our SAN configuration, and I don't have to think about it anymore.”
“We use Undelete fairly regularly on our main file share server and it works extremely well. Our implementation is on a VMware virtual guest which the Help Desk uses. This relieves the System Administrators of this fairly simple task. It also expedites file recovery which is great from a customer service standpoint.”
“In our ongoing effort we try to keep the processors from over working which would cause the temperature to go up. Faster virus scans due to a more efficient system help with this. It’s a small thing but can help with other efforts. We run HP servers, DL585’s and 385’s, and we have Diskeeper running on our virtual machines as well."
“I am running V-locity on my virtual guests with a 32% improvement for the read write access and the server with a 29% better read/write access. Recently a field engineer came in to look at and ‘fix’ my Active Directory domain as according to those in the know, I had bad objects that prevented things from working properly. Ten minutes after the systems engineer placed a tool on a server he stated the system is in good shape and in fact, it’s now in better shape since he fixed a couple of things that were above my knowledge level. He said this system is one of the cleanest domains he has worked on. It’s running with Exchange Server 2010. This is a very good benefit!”
"V-locity has consistently increased the performance of our VMs. These noted performance gains are even more readily apparent to our administrators through usage of the new Benefit Analysis functionality. This feature not only allows us to more easily generate reports that visually show the benefits of the product but it also provides us with great documentation for demonstrating the benefit of V-locity to our managerial staff. For example, one of our Remote Desktop Session host servers experienced a 190% improvement in normalized I/Os per second while latency was reduced by 190% as well. We particularly like the IntelliWrite technology.”
“Any lag we used to experience during peak load has disappeared. In addition to performance gains, we no longer have to reboot servers once a week.”
“I’m running the new Diskeeper with Instant Defrag on a Windows 7 server with domain controller, and on Windows 2008 using EqualLogic SAN. These systems run quite a bit faster – especially on VMware. I was quite surprised at that."
“We keep all servers on a 5-year evergreen cycle and found Diskeeper was able to help us attain that goal by keeping our servers from becoming fragmented and bogging down, overall giving us a much healthier server for a longer period of time and with better ROI. We are running Windows 2008 servers, three SQL 2005 servers and have a blade server connected by fiber to a SAN. We also run SharePoint 2007 with Diskeeper.”
“I thought you may like to know that V-Locity saved me yesterday! I was trying to correct a VMFS storage space issue after I was advised by my VM backup vendor to run sDelete on all the server drives to improve performance. As it turns out, VMware does not recognize this zeroed disk space as ‘free’ but as ‘used’ which filled up my datastores! This resulted in some of servers going into stand by and after a lot of research, there did not seem to be any quick solution."
“We run an application that specifically benefits from Diskeeper - a SQL-based large database program that keeps all of its data in one huge file. Diskeeper keeps the drive optimized so efficiently that we’ve noticed a significant decrease in database lockups. Also, our Exchange server gets a big boost from Diskeeper. Our ROI has been in productivity savings. The IT staff does not have to run utility and maintenance programs to keep the servers optimized and running smoothly as when new. This saves us at least twenty IT hours per month. Because of the continuous optimization of the user programs on the servers, our users have experienced a 99.97% uptime over the past 12 months. The prior 12 months was only about 91% uptime due to all the disk-related issues. I was hired about that time and insisted that we install Diskeeper on all the servers. This has definitely paid off.”
“Diskeeper runs great with no issues to report. I’ve seen system performance enhancement shortly after enabling the automatic mode of operation. Auto defrag is excellent and requires almost zero overhead for running and managing it. I am running Diskeeper on several Windows 7 64-bit and 32-bit workstations. We have seen a decrease in support calls regarding disk and latency issues. Diskeeper is an excellent system and pretty much runs on its own. Diskeeper is definitely a vital tool for our file system structure. We trust it and I have suggested your product to my peers in the industry.”
“Fragmentation is usually a big culprit in stealing system performance. We put it on all staff portables. Diskeeper is an integral part to maintaining individual computer's health. I basically “Set It and Forget It”. We are using NetApp StoreVaults for our SAN. We have MS SQL currently running in the district and GroupWise is our messaging system. I am running Diskeeper on those virtual machines with Windows Server 2003/2008. Before we deployed Diskeeper, we had severe fragmentation that caused systems to run slow. Also, just running defrag was problematic because the ‘best way to run it’ was to be logged in as administrator or with administrator equivalent rights. That is not a possibility in a school district."
“If a file was 50 pages long, I would sit and watch the page count loading all 50 pages before printing the report. Some of the files we process are more than 500 pages, so I think you can imagine the pain."
"Case Management Solutions shared with us the pain they were experiencing and the need to find the most cost-effective solution possible. We quickly spotted some necessary server upgrades, but after having seen what V-locity® I/O reduction software had done for our other clients, we knew that was likely the only missing ingredient to tackle their performance issues."
