“I will be happy to give references for Diskeeper to other Network Administrators. I'm using Diskeeper EnterpriseServer on two different RAID drives. The RAID 5 is 6.35 TB and the other is on a large disk array with RAID 5 that is partitioned into smaller disk, the largest being 2.25 TB. I run Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 servers used as domain controllers, and run Retrospect Backup Server edition. Before installing Diskeeper my backup application would crash, or use high amounts of resources. I follow a disk-to-disk-to-tape regimen for backups. The disks file IO with constant additions/removal of backup files. Diskeeper keeps the level of fragmentation of these disks to a minimum.”

“I will absolutely give references for Diskeeper - no problem! We are now running Diskeeper on 15 servers with RAID and SAN as well as with Windows encryption and PGP encryption tools. We are an almost 100% VMware virtual environment. All of our servers are on an EMC CX310 Fiber SAN with 3 RAID arrays. I originally had it set up to manually defrag because I was worried about a performance hit with the automatic mode, but soon found out that it was much easier to use Automatic defrag on all of our servers. We have Diskeeper Administrator running on our internal domain and use it to deploy and manage our Diskeeper clients. We have defrag policies set up and use them to keep production running. I personally like the ease of use the Admin Console gives me to manage and deploy new installs on our network. With just a few clicks I can edit defrag policies to fit our production needs as we bring up different workloads and shifts. Before we just used the built-in defrag tool in Windows to defrag servers and PCs. By using Diskeeper and the Admin Console, I can automate all of that and know that it is being done. Each morning I have scheduled reports which run to inform us of the current fragmentation levels and performance indicators. I also have it set up to email when a new upgrade is ready and can see all the machines it is installed on and what version they are running. This makes my task of managing these systems so much easier for me and my co-workers.”
