Chord was founded in 2021 by Bryan Mahoney and Henry Davis, when the former Glossier execs realized that the technical infrastructure they’d developed together for the pioneering DTC company had the power to revolutionize ecommerce. They created Chord as the first headless platform by operators, for operators — so they could put the most sophisticated commerce tools in the hands of visionary brands.
