"At the outset we were restricted by the heavy rock formations around the site and the excavations had to be performed using explosives within very close range to the building itself. The rock excavation involved a series of sub-processes including the drilling of bore holes for the explosives followed by the controlled blasting itself, secondary breaking and loading. The rock is removed in slices but its certainly not an easy job."
"During the first two academic years, students mostly learn the theoretical aspects of the course, while experiential training becomes a compulsory element in the third year. The University updates each student's progress by means of a written report that has to be submitted each semester."
