We made the switch to Zoom for Government as soon as it became available — it was important for us to have the security that comes with it. There are a lot of good services out there but they don't meet the security standards for the Department of Defense.
"Zoom offers a variety of features that meet the needs of the education industry. The product is magic, but it’s the people behind the partnership and beyond the tool that we want to work with. Vendors who offer ongoing support and who we can build a relationship with are key for us."
Even though I’ve been on a 4-megabit connection for the last two years, I don’t feel like I’ve missed a step. That would not have been possible without Zoom. Even with other video conferencing technologies, like Teams or Webex, the experience is just not the same. Zoom works in environments where other solutions don’t.
"The pandemic showed us how important and valuable tools such as Zoom are."
"Our employees are enabled to be wherever they need to be, when they need to be there. They aren’t chained to their desk anymore."
"Zoom is our unified communications platform. We use it for 1:1 meetings and team video conferences, and we use it as our phone system. It’s really transformed the way we resource communications across the organisation."
"We said, ‘We’re still going to make films.' We brought students together through Zoom — the producer, director, and art director in Miami, and the director of photography and cinematographer in Shanghai."
“We had to go from being a mostly residential, on-campus university to three different ways of teaching — completely remote, completely on campus, and hybrid.”
“The future of production may be through these kinds of digital connections.”
"The fact that we haven’t really had to skip a beat with care, regardless of whether somebody is in person or virtual, has really changed the game."
“When March 2020 hit, we knew Skype wouldn’t meet our needs anymore, When we got [Webex] out, I started hearing complaints [from our users]. It drops, disconnects often, choppy voice and video. It was a consistent issue we were seeing.”
"We’re in the 21st century and the first part of so many video calls or meeting conversations is ‘can you hear me?’ or ‘can you see my screen?’ AgriWebb is a technology company trying to sell technology to a rural business, and if we’re in a meeting with a prospect and it starts like that, they will not become an AgriWebb customer. It’s extremely important for us to have a reliable video conferencing service that builds trust right from the start."
"I think there's so much opportunity with video communication and custom industry vertical apps and custom use cases. Zoom is a platform that helps us facilitate really advanced, remote video communication, and we look at it as a building block on which we can layer not only media and creativity, but also interactivity and future applications that have yet to be built that represent the future of interactive communication."
"We went from a standing start to video visit capabilities for 5,000 people in eight days. At the time, we hadn’t realized we were creating a hospital without walls."
"You don’t have to have an individual login to join a Zoom session, and that was really huge for us from an accessibility standpoint. We wanted a platform that could include people from all over the world. There were attendees from parts of Africa and other remote locations, for example. They just didn’t have the bandwidth to be able to support video on their internet connection."
