WoodWing Software FAQs

  • Who is WoodWing Software best for - their role(s) within what kind of companies.

WoodWing Studio (previously called Enterprise Aurora) is a leading content creation product for efficient multichannel publishing. Any organization that creates and publishes content to one or more channels will benefit from this product. Typically, customers include magazine, newspaper and educational book publishers. However, we also have a lot of traction with 'brands' (and their agencies) that produce corporate materials - think annual reports, customer magazines, multi-lingual brochures etc.

Next to this, we develop our Digital Asset Management solution WoodWing Assets (formerly known as Elvis DAM). WoodWing Assets serves as a central repository where users can go to find any type of file they might be looking for - images, videos, documents, layouts, graphic files etc. Any company that is dealing with large(r) number of files and that is losing time in searching to find these files can benefit from a DAM solution such as WoodWing Assets.

  • How does WoodWing Software benefit them?

WoodWing Studio streamlines the publishing process and breaks down the silos between different teams (such as print and web teams). It does so by offering a system that makes sure there is a clearly defined workflow and offers real-time insight into the progress of the publication. Because content is created with a 'channel neutral' approach, users from different teams (print and digital) can all work in the same system and efficiently leverage and re-use content between channels, brands, and offices.

WoodWing Assets enables teams to quickly find the digital assets they are looking for. This saves time but also reduces the re-purchase of materials already bought in the past. Features such as easy sharing of large files, getting approval from customers on a design in progress, and integrating your digital assets with other systems such as a PIM (Product Information Management), all contribute to faster content creation and better monetization of your digital assets.

  • How technical do users need to be to use WoodWing Software's software?

For WoodWing Studio, the typical user is an editorial staff member. They do not need to be technical. Setting up the system is typically done by one of our partners.

For WoodWing Assets, we pride ourselves on offering one of the most intuitive user-interfaces around in the DAM space. Again, setting up the system is done by our global network of integrators.
