Raygun, previously named Mindscape, is a leading global software tools provider based in Wellington, New Zealand. Mindscape changed its name to Raygun due to the success of their Raygun product – a crash reporting solution used by thousands of technology companies globally, including Microsoft, Nordstrom, Box and Apple. Raygun has won numerous industry awards including the New Zealand Hi-Tech Innovative Software Product award in 2014 and the New Zealand Hi-Tech Start-up Company of the Year award in 2015. With customers in more than 100 countries, Raygun expanded the physical presence to the United States in early 2015 with offices in San Francisco.
Carnival has a lean development team – Raygun allows us to move quickly with confidence that every feature we roll out is performing as we planned. As CTO, I’m the main liaison between our product team and customer success team in New York. Having Raygun integrated gives me confidence that our development team are across errors as they happen, minimizing the delay in resolving issues.”

"Raygun is a number of things. It’s error management done right", Ross explains. "It’s a chance to add some process to the way you handle errors within your organisation, without needing to roll your own app to do so. Raygun enables you to take a more proactive approach to issues in production environments, helping you to spot them well before your customers do. It's a valuable addition to any piece of software out in the wild that can help to identify (and fix) problems quickly and easily."

“Error grouping and ability to mark errors as resolved allows us to keep an “inbox zero” like approach to our errors. I’m a big fan of inbox zero for email, and following that same philosophy for software errors just makes sense - things don’t get forgotten, and the most important errors are usually the most recent at the top of the list. The Raygun dashboard is perfect for this.“

If there is a bug, it’s looked into straight away and resolved as quickly as possible. Raygun allows us to stay on top of bugs as soon as they happen, rather than three weeks later when someone complains that something isn’t working. The notifications that Raygun sends out whether that is via Slack or email give me an instant warning that something is not working as expected.

Raygun allows you to see who’s been affected by errors so that you can reach out to them and inform them of fixes. The best feature of Raygun so far is the ability to track which users are affected by an error. In many cases, we know that a user is experiencing a problem with our application before they even notice it. If the user contacts us, we’re already working to help solve the issue. If not, we can notify them when a fix is available. This proactive support stance helps us make our users’ lives happier.

Integration with other DevOps related apps is also fantastic. We use Trello at Timely and can create tasks that each of the development team are assigned to. It makes error tracking a breeze and everyone is on the same page regarding fixes. We also use Slack for our internal team chat and have Raygun error notifications appearing in a dedicated Slack channel. This means we can be alerted of errors and discuss potential causes and fixes right within our chat provider, it really does make error reporting automatic.

We have a very good test infrastructure at Wire. However, it's impossible to have every platform in our test matrix. Raygun helped us to identify problems on systems which were not part of our test setup. This actually allowed us to fix an error that occurred multiple times a day, and without Raygun, we still would not have even known about this error today.
iSocket is a technology platform built to simplify direct, reserved ad sales. Most direct buys take 40-50 steps to execute and require involvement from dozens of sales people, ad ops, and media planners. iSocket automates the majority of those steps, making it easier to get a deal done and an order executed, while eliminating opportunities for human error.
