We have been working with PDFTron since 2006 when we were searching for a solution for reading content from PDF documents to power Workshare Protect. When we first looked at developing PDF capabilities ourselves, we knew that PDF is a fast moving technology in the industry. It made sense for us to find a partner who could provide and support this technology reliably over time, allowing us to focus on the main features of our product. From a number of possible solutions, we were immediately impressed by the accuracy, performance and ease of use of the PDFNet SDK which made our choice clear. PDFNet SDK has throughout provided us with comprehensive support for PDF processing - far better than having to study and work with the 1300 pages of the PDF file format specification. We are very happy with PDFNet, it remains a critical piece of Workshare Protect, and is something from which we see a return on our investment every day.

PDFTron provides a flexible, performant and customizable SDK, that is the ideal solution to enhance our user’s experience within AKAD Campus. We’ve used other providers before who were limited and unreliable, so we looked to PDFTron for a more professional solution.

Our primary requirement was, here is a big chunk of demanding PDF files. Can you open them? When we pushed most of these 190 PDFs through PDFTron, we couldn’t find one that didn’t open. And from what I could tell, PDFTron handled the memory issue the best. I absolutely feel we’re in a better position to handle all our present and future PDF requirements.

One of the biggest things we hear from our customers is how our new solution is really easy to use. With the previous software as complex as it was, customer training was much, much more involved. If somebody were to ask me about a vendor on a technical, personal and commercial level my advice would be to go with PDFTron. PDFTron is a fantastic company to work with. They provide outstanding professional support for a very feature rich API toolkit. Most of the support is used to help us understand the best way to implement a feature using the API and the answers has been very responsive and on spot. We all read the marketing brochures and content for products and put the code through the paces before we spend the money on a license. It is usually in the live environment when issues start cropping up and when you really find out how good the product and support are. We developed a critical core application which depends heavily upon PDF functionality (initially this was not based on PDFTron) and six months into the rollout we still had major issues due to the core API and a support system that stopped responding to issues over time. Two weeks after switching to PDFTron all of the functionality was converted, the existing features that did work still work, the problems that insurmountable before were all solved and were functioning as desired. I have a great deal of respect for this company, the support staff and the richness of their products. I didn't even mention that the few times we did encounter issues, we had a new build that solved the issue within two weeks (that is just the kind of technology partner you want when you have many users to support). The sample code is very practical and functional to use as a reference and the online references are very good as well. And the staff is fantastic to work with. We are a very satisfied and grateful customer of PDFNet and we just hope that we can contribute to its evolution.

I want to extend my appreciation for your PDFNet SDK product. We have been having very serious problems with a previous library for dynamic PDF creation in a web-based application. After weeks of trying to find work-arounds for non-meaningful errors and intermittent failures, we purchased the PDFNet SDK. In one day I was able to recreate the problematic PDF (254 different text elements for a medical form), test, and push to production. There hasn't been a single issue with it and it is much faster. Working with PDFNet SDK was remarkably easy compared to the hoops I needed to jump through before! I needed to get this into production asap and without your product it would not have happened.
