”The Jurmala Central Library has been operating in its new premises on Strelnieku prospect 30 since October 2018. The new library has been designed with the convenience of library visitors in mind - a book transfer unit is installed at the central entrance so readers can transfer library books and periodicals even when the library is closed to visitors. An electronic gate is installed to protect the library's collections and a security label is affixed to each book and magazine. The library is equipped with a state-of-the-art self-service facility that allows readers to receive and deliver books themselves. We encourage visitors to take advantage of the self-service facility and they are happy to take advantage of this offer. Of course, older people need a librarian's advice and practical advice on how to use the equipment, but this is not a problem for young people."
