Zadara enterprise storage-as-a-service is quite simple to implement. It does require understanding of basic enterprise storage concepts like "array", "block", "file", "object", "storage pools", "flash", and "hard disk", as well as basic understanding of networking and storage communication protocols.
Zadara is the pioneer in enterprise storage-as-a-service. We've been operating this business model for eight years and are trusted by hundreds of customers, large and small, with hundreds of petabytes mission critical data storage. Unlike most late entries to this business, with Zadara you *really* don't buy or lease *anything*. No buying service and support plans. No buying upgrade plans. It's all included in the storage service.
Legacy enterprise storage vendors, e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE
Storage offerings from public cloud providers, e.g., AWS EBS, EFS, and FSx
Software Defined Storage vendors, e.g., SoftNas, Elastifile
Some key differentiators:
- Your storage resources are *dedicated* to you. No sharing. No "noisy neighbors." No data leakage between users of shared resources
- Pay only for the storage that you are actually using. Scale-up, scale-out, or scale-down, on-demand, as your requirements change
- Pick the storage configurations that meet your business-driven requirements. All flash for maximizing IOPS, flash+hard disk hybrid for optimizing balanced price/performance, all hard disk for near-line archival and backup storage
- Change your storage configuration non-disruptively, on-demand
- Hardware upgrades are available on-demand, any time after new options are are released with no upgrade charge. Your billing will be adjusted, up or down, on your next invoice
- The same storage with the same capabilities at the same price is available on your premises, in hosting centers, or in our cloud-adjacent facilities
- Zadara supports true multicloud operations. I.e., you can present the same data on-premises AND in public clouds, in almost any combination
Zadara continuously adds native capabilities and partners to ensure customers can meet all of their data storage goals.
Zadara integrates seamlessly with leading public cloud providers and we partner with leading backup vendors.
Zadara storage pricing is based on several factors, including capacity consumed, type of capacity (e.g., flash, hard disk, hybrid, object), performance requirements, and commitment period (0 - 3 years). A pricing calculator is available at https://www.zadara.com/pricing.php

Our customers often comment that the implementation process is very quick and easy.
Implementation is straightforward and cloud adjacent deployments can usually be completed in a day. Implementations that require shipping equipment to new sites (e.g., on-premises or customer specified colocation facility) generally take 2 - 3 weeks.
Once accounts are set up and basic information is gathered (e.g., network configuration), Zadara schedules an on-boarding session to ensure that initial configuration is valid and operational.
All support, monitoring, maintenance, and on-demand hardware upgrades are included in the storage service.
