“For example, we’ve done a considerable amount of research into how the soybean aphid damages the crop and how that damage affects the reflectance of light wavelengths. Through our research, we identified three near-infrared wavelengths that appeared to be specifically associated with soybean aphid damage. We talked to Sentera about the possibility of developing a sensor that would isolate those wavelengths, and they were able to produce that sensor for us."
