Applingua began in 2010 when Robert Lo Bue decided it was time to bring his tech experience to the world of localization. At the time, there was a lack of tech localization specialists and, more importantly, most projects were being dealt with by regular translation agencies, who didn’t have the experience or the knowledge to face the specific challenges of localizing an app, game or website.
Open Hand Media started out assisting nonprofits organizations in whatever way they could, and found that their clients had common marketing needs and challenges. Their “whatever you need” approach led them to expand their scope of services and grow as an agency, mostly in an effort to address their clients needs. Since 2013, Open Hand Media has grown to focus on a variety of marketing services including, creative design and web services, digital and traditional advertising, and communications and content creation.
