“MY Titania went into an intense, six-week end of season refit period in March 2019 with 300 items to have completed mixed between contractors and the crew. With lists already prepared before entering the shipyard, everyone was able to save time at every step of the process due to being organised using the Pinpoint Works software, its report exporting feature and their crew’s hands-on documentation of the projects. ​Each day, crew would take photos and comment on their mobiles of the progress of their work during our refit, changing the priority and status accordingly. Using the Pinpoint Works Dashboard, we could oversee the progress of each project and department without countless internal meetings, and always be up to date for important weekly shipyard meetings. We knew where and when we needed to press hard for the betterment of the project because we had the visibility to do so. It was almost too easy to refer to the scope of works from our mobiles, whilst the contractor had their hard copies. The simplistic beauty was that, as Captain, I was not the one compiling the documentation into reports for the owner or shipyard. It’s all done by the crew, and it’s done once. No double-handling, excel versions or literally hundreds of emails and threads. We use Pinpoint Works every day.”
