"As a city we want to be able to provide our community with the best transportation network that provides access to jobs, education, transit and housing. We believe e-scooters have the opportunity to enhance our existing transportation options by providing an easy, low-cost solution that connects riders to the first and last miles of their commute. Through the pilot we are interested in learning more about how we can implement a dynamic pricing model that encourages users to ride safely by wearing helmets, following the rules of the road and parking in a manner that creates a safe environment on our sidewalks."
