"I found Kathryn on twitter and when I looked at her website I knew she’d be the right person we were looking for. Her personality shone through in her quirky illustrations and unique style, it was very clear that we would be working with Kathryn ‘the person’ as opposed to ‘Kathryn’s company’ which was perfect. As a new business we were conscious that we did not want to use ‘library’ images to portray our ‘product’. We were looking for somebody who would understand our concept of using a traditional cartoon style character and his friends for our logo and branding, a strong image that made you smile yet was not brash. She brought our characters to life. She then produced fantastic artwork in warm earthy colours for our flyer, business card, stickers, pop-up banner and spare wheel covers. She meticulously spent time designing and perfecting our website and social media and everything was ready on time. What we now have is a fresh and unique design for our branding that’s versatile. The character ‘Bertie Big Boots’ evokes a sense of fun and it makes you look twice. So many people have complimented our branding. Kathryn has been great to work with and she is hugely talented. I value her opinions and look forward to working with her on more design work we have planned for ‘Bertie’ and ‘Bring Yer Wellies’."
