"Before FusePLM, we were storing our design files on a cloud file server and maintaining BOMs in Excel. Finding the latest revision was difficult, and once a document was found, there was no way to be sure it was the latest revision. Files were duplicated all over the cloud server, and there was poor access control; so anyone could accidentally move, delete or modify a document. Excel spreadsheets were very awkward for associating data sheets with part numbers, and doing so bloated the spreadsheets' size. Features such as "where used" and redline compares were not even possible, and there was limited history information. We surveyed available cloud PLM systems and viewed demos of some of the more affordable ones. FusePLM's support was very responsive, and the price was within our budget."
