Overview

Fieldwire is a mobile and web construction software application that offers tools for team collaboration, issue tracking, plan viewing and versioning, and task management. You can access the system from your web browser and connect to your project info using tablets and smartphones on the vendor’s Android and iOS mobile apps.

Contractors in the field can access version-controlled, share-optimized blueprints and floor plans in real time, to look at and add hyperlinks, markups, and annotations even when offline. When internet connection is restored, all the new data will be synced to all users and devices related to the project. In addition, you can leverage reporting functionalities, share your as-built drawings, add hyperlinks and checklists, and snap progress images to conduct punch lists, inspections, and status updates.

Task Management Feature

Fieldwire’s task management tool permits you to produce punch lists of tasks and accelerate the construction completion. This feature allows you to a import an item checklist to find out if a task has any deficiencies that need to be rectified. You can then assign the deficiencies and issues to appropriate site crew members and add documentation, photos, and markups, so they’ll understand what exactly they need to correct. Another benefit is you can effortlessly check whether an item in a task or punch list has already been completed or not. The task management functionality also enables document sharing and provides instant notifications to enhance collaboration among crew members.

Team Management Functionality

This feature improves team collaboration as it allows you to add members to a project and assign them specific functions and limitations in performing their tasks. For instance, foremen and subcontractors are limited to adding markups and creating reports for an assigned task. They cannot delete a category or task, which can only be done by superintendents and project managers. This setup eliminates overlapping of responsibilities and roles, resulting in efficient team collaboration.
