Who is Engagis best for - their role(s) within what kind of companies.
Engagis' Impress Plus Digital Signage CMS is built for large, multi-site organisations that run screens across many locations and need to keep content consistent, compliant and current. Think banks, retailers, quick service restaurants, pharmacy groups and service station networks, where hundreds or thousands of screens need to show the right message in the right place.
It suits teams where several people touch content before it goes live:
- Marketing and brand teams who create campaigns and want them on screen quickly, without chasing each store or branch.
- Approvers in compliance, legal or senior marketing who need to review and sign off content before it’s published. This is especially important in regulated industries like banking and pharmacy.
- Retail and operations managers who need to target content by region, store type or format, and localise messaging without extra manual work.
- IT and digital teams who want a secure, Australian-hosted platform that connects to existing systems and works across a mix of screen hardware.
- Media and commercial teams who sell screen time to partners and need to balance their own promotions with paid content.
If you’re managing a handful of screens in one location, Impress Plus is probably more than you need. It’s at its best when scale, governance and control matter.
-
How does Engagis benefit them?
Impress Plus takes the manual work and risk out of running a large screen network, so teams spend less time managing screens and more time getting results from them.
Faster time to market. Campaigns go to hundreds or thousands of screens in a single action. Updates that once meant emailing stores or touching screens one by one now happen centrally, in minutes.
Content that updates itself. Impress Plus can connect to live data feeds, so pricing, promotions and other information can change automatically based on business rules. Teams create content once and let the platform do the rest.
Built-in governance. Role-based permissions and approval workflows mean nothing goes live without the right sign-off. Every step is tracked, giving compliance and legal teams a clear audit trail.
Precise targeting. Screens and sites can be tagged by region, store type, format or any attribute that matters to the business. That makes it easy to localise messaging without managing lists by hand.
Protects existing hardware. Impress Plus works across LED walls, kiosks and displays from a range of vendors. Organisations can standardise how they manage content without replacing the screens they already own.
Reliable in the real world. The platform is built to keep content playing smoothly, even in sites with limited bandwidth.
Secure and local. Hosting in Australia gives organisations confidence about where their data sits, which matters in banking, health and other regulated industries.
Fair share of screen time. Content can be grouped into categories so brand, product and partner messages each get the airtime they’re meant to, with clear reporting to back it up.

How technical do users need to be to use Engagis's software?
Not very. Day-to-day users don’t need any coding or technical skills. If you can upload a file, pick a template and set a date, you can run a campaign in Impress Plus.
Everyday users such as marketers, content coordinators and store or branch teams work through a simple, visual interface. Out-of-the-box templates (blank canvas, playlist and audio playlist) cover most needs, and the drag-and-drop template editor lets users build and animate layouts without writing a line of code.
Approvers need even less. Their role is to review content, approve it and publish, and we provide a simple step-by-step quick guide for exactly that.
More advanced users can go further if they want to. Developers, in-house digital teams or agencies can upload custom HTML templates with dynamic fields, connect live data feeds and set up rules-based targeting. That’s where the platform’s depth sits, but it’s optional, and Engagis can set it up for you.
Every rollout includes onboarding and training from the Engagis team, along with a full user manual, so people feel confident from day one.

What makes Engagis a leader in this space?
We’ve been doing this since 2001. Engagis has spent decades designing, deploying and managing screen networks for some of Australia’s best-known organisations, including ANZ, NAB, Suncorp, Telstra, Australia Post and Medibank. That experience shows up in every rollout.
We own the whole journey. Strategy, content, software, hardware, installation and managed services all sit with one team. Clients get a single partner accountable for results, rather than juggling multiple vendors.
We build our own software. Impress Plus is developed by Engagis and has evolved alongside our enterprise clients, so it’s shaped by real operational needs rather than a feature wish list. When clients need something new, we can build it.
Local, secure and certified. Impress Plus is hosted in Australia on Microsoft Azure, and Engagis holds ISO 9001 certification for quality management. For banks, health and other regulated businesses, that peace of mind matters.
Strong partnerships. We work closely with technology partners including Microsoft, Samsung and Crestron, which means clients get proven hardware and platforms that work well together.
We do what we say. We don’t overpromise or chase trends. We focus on what works, invest in what’s next and treat every client as a long-term partner.
-
Who are Engagis's biggest competitors (3-5 companies)?
Self-serve and lower-cost platforms like Mandoe Media and Fusion Signage are strong options for smaller businesses, but they’re rarely a direct fit for the scale and governance our clients need.
What sets Engagis apart is the combination. Many integrators resell someone else’s software, and many software vendors leave delivery to others. Engagis brings both together: our own Australian-hosted CMS, Impress Plus, plus strategy, hardware, installation and managed services from one accountable team.
-
How/why is Engagis better than those competitors (or most others in their market)? What about Engagis is unique, stronger, easier, etc.?
Software and service under one roof. Most providers do one or the other. Integrators often resell third-party software, and software vendors usually leave installation and support to someone else. Engagis builds its own CMS, Impress Plus, and delivers everything around it: strategy, content, hardware, installation and managed services. One team, one point of accountability, no finger-pointing between vendors.
Built for enterprise, not adapted to it. Impress Plus was shaped alongside large, multi-site clients. Approval workflows, role-based permissions, rules-based targeting and live data integration are core features, not add-ons. It handles thousands of screens as easily as a small pilot.
Secure and certified. Impress Plus is hosted in Australia, and Engagis holds ISO 27001 (information security), ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (health and safety). Few local competitors can match that full set, which matters for banks, health providers and other regulated businesses.
Easy for everyday users. Marketers and store teams can create and publish campaigns without technical skills, while developers and agencies can go deeper with custom templates and data feeds if they want.
Works with what you already have. Impress Plus is screen-agnostic, so clients aren’t locked into one hardware vendor and can keep the screens they already own.
Flexible because we own the product. When a client needs something new, we can develop it ourselves rather than waiting on a third-party roadmap.
Proven over time. Since 2001, Engagis has delivered for brands like ANZ, NAB, Suncorp, Telstra and Australia Post. We don’t overpromise, and our clients know we’ll deliver.
-
What kind of features can customers expect Engagis to release in the near future? And longer term?
Because we own and develop Impress Plus in-house, our roadmap is shaped by our clients rather than a global product team. Many features start as a request from a client and are then rolled out across the platform.
Near term
More integrations. Impress Plus already connects to single sign-on, digital asset management systems and live data feeds such as pricing, weather and news. We’re expanding our library of ready-made connectors so clients can switch on data-driven content faster.
Retail media tools. Impress Plus already supports content slots, occupancy forecasting and proof of play, so clients can balance their own messaging with paid partner content. .
Longer term
Smarter measurement. We’re focused on helping clients prove what their screens deliver, connecting content performance with business outcomes like sales and customer engagement.
Deeper automation. We’re moving towards content that adapts on its own, based on audience, location and live business data, with governance built in at every step.
-
Which popular or common software does Engagis integrate with?
Impress Plus is designed to fit into the systems our clients already use. We integrate with point-of-sale systems and retail media monetisation platforms, so content can respond to what’s happening in store and screen networks can generate revenue.
-
Does Engagis offer any kind of training/education for their product?

Users also get a full user manual and simple quick guides for everyday tasks. After go-live, our support team is on hand to help with questions, with 24/7 support available on enterprise plans.
