DBGallery was started in the mid-2000s because a good digital asset management system couldn't be found. As technology evolved, as did their customers expectations, both of which they are extremely excited and passionate about, they have evolved their product as well: From a simple image tagging client-server desktop application in 2005, to web browser-based years later, then on to a full Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) Digital Asset Management solution. Their customers no longer require just a means to manage many thousands of images. To move their business forward they must have team workflows, the ability for their clients to directly collaborate on the creation and management of their digital assets, and have visibility and control of the entire process.
