"The BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal with St Martin-in-the-Fields is the most important fundraising event in our calendar and our partnership with the BBC brings a huge level of exposure each year. Our website was not coping with the very high levels of traffic, even crashing during the Appeal. On top of that the site was not engaging our donors fully. We needed a more robust solution that could cope with whatever was thrown at it and we needed a way of increasing conversions; turning one off donors into regular ones. Contra suggested a new charity site, focused on engaging our donors during the Appeal, and at key points throughout the year. The design they came up with was brilliant; it looks fantastic and challenges visitors to donate or volunteer at every opportunity.
